Thomas Hunt Morgan House

The historic Thomas Hunt Morgan House in downtown Lexington has been deeded from The Woman’s Club of Central Kentucky to The Bluegrass Trust for Historic Preservation. Following a renovation, and a reconfiguration with the adjoining historic property, both organizations’ headquarters are planned to operate from the campus beginning in 2015.

Shriners Hospital for Children

Bargain Hunt is now open in the anchor storefront, previously empty for over a year. The former Stanley J’s and Rosalia’s will soon house the second location of North Lime Coffee & Donuts.

Fayette County Driver’s License Office

The impending move of the main driver’s license office has been announced, from within a city government building also housing the County Clerk’s offices in downtown Lexington, to a shopping center just outside of New Circle Road along Winchester Road. It will be adjacent to Spencerian College and offer increased parking options as well as access via four different Lextran routes. Fayette County’s other driver’s license office will remain on Regency Road.
