265 North Limestone – Grillfish Opening

The new steak and seafood restaurant, Grillfish, opened this week at in  the former home of Atomic Café. The restaurant features fresh seafood, steaks and chops, salads, pasta, desserts, wine and cocktails. For the time being the restaurant will be serving dinner nightly, with a patio that is expected to open by Labor Day.

3735 Palomar Centre Drive – The Weekly Juicery

3090 Helmsdale Place – Ramsey’s Country Store

Rob Ramsey is opening a Ramsey’s Country Store next to his Andover restaurant location. Located at 3090 Helmsdale Place, the country store will sell fresh Kentucky Proud produce, canned goods, bulk items from Ramsey’s, and unique cooking utensils. The store opens this Thursday.

2785 Polo Club Blvd – WaterStone at Hamburg

Miller-Valentine Group is building a 264-luxury apartment complex near the intersection of Man o’ War Boulevard and Polo Club Boulevard. Located at , is set to open in early 2017.

212 St. Ann Drive – Lexington Senior Center

The new will open this Thursday, September 15th. Located at , the new center, measuring at 33,000 square feet, is nearly double the size of the former location at the corner of Nicholasville and Alumni. The new building includes a lot of updates that make it more accommodating to seniors.

102 104 W Vine Street – The Madame

There is a new restaurant opening at the former location of El Habernero Loko. Located at , is the newest restaurant from Chef Maribeth Tolson. She plans for the restaurant to be open for dinner Monday – Friday and for brunch on Sundays.  

3329 Tates Creek Road – Sal’s Chophouse

and . will both be closing Sunday night. The Bluegrass Hospitality Restaurants, located at in the Lansdowne Shoppes will be renovated to increase the size and capacity of Malone’s Banquets.  The new space is scheduled to open by November 21.

816-818 Euclid Avenue – Rincon Mexicano

, located above Charlie Brown’s bar at , has closed. The owner, Veronica Salas, said that she hopes the closing is temporary. The family’s 3901 Harrodsburg Road location remains open.

364-384 Woodland Avenue – Cosmic Charlie’s

, a long-time music venue and bar on campus will be leaving its at University Plaza location at the end of September. The new venue will be located in the booming Warehouse Block, at . Owners hope to have the new location opened by mid-October or November.

342 South Limestone – Steak ‘n Shake

The new Holmes Hall and Boyd Hall, located at , will officially open on Saturday. These two dorms will add 1,141 beds for students as well as a to the campus. Steak ‘n Shake, located in the ground floor of the new Holmes Hall, is scheduled to

has opened in the former location of Sew Fine. Located at, the store offers an assortment of handcrafted frames from around the world. Owner Dr. Dawn Stratton uses small, independent artisans to bring more unique eye wear to Lexington.

2299 Richmond Road – Applebee’s

The located at is closing before the end of this month. The restaurant lost its lease on the location in front of Southland Christian Church. The area director is unsure of the exact closing date, but it may be as early as August 28.

561-567 E Third St – Community Ventures

The first in a multi-building redevelopment project along the Midland Avenue corridor plans to file an application for a vacant parcel of land at East Third Street and Nelson Avenue. Located at , the proposed three-story building would include a pizza restaurant, a coffee shop, other retail space and apartments on the top floor. , located at is now open. Occupying the former location of A la Lucie, Minglewood is a modern casual bar, restaurant and live music venue. Their menu and hours will expand in time, with a Sunday brunch expected to be added in the fall.

1165 Monarch Street – Provision Living

announced last week that a new 88,000-square-foot personal care and memory care community is under construction at . Located at t, the $18 million facility will have 104 apartments, including 31 in a memory care secure neighborhood. The complex is expected to open next spring.

161 Lexington Green – Jax Burgers & Brews

A gourmet burger and beer restaurant, Jax Burgers & Brews, opened on Thursday at Lexington Green. Located at 161 Lexington Green Circle, the restaurant specializes in burgers, local craft beer, and hand-spun milkshakes.

858 East High St – Louie’s Wine Dive

A new restaurant will be coming to Chevy Chase, opening in late fall at . Opening its first location in Kentucky,  will move into the spot occupied most recently by the Macho Nacho. Louie’s will be open for lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends. Louie’s offers a menu ranging from snacks to gourmet burgers and many different types of wine.
